What goes through my mind when I eat a bowl of ramen? More than you think.

These are my behind-the-scenes notes I take immediately after leaving a ramen shop. I don’t do this 100% of the time, but if it left a lasting impression I don’t want to forget, I stand on the train platform a little longer than normal and write it up.

I prefer to scribble on the photo so I can remember something interesting about each part - and there are so many parts! It’s much more rewarding to me than typing onto a blank page.

And maybe, just maybe, this helps you understand that there’s no such thing as a “boring” old ramen. There’s just different styles with infinite variations. The more you look and listen, the more you’ll soak in (and slurp up).

Let me know if you want to see more posts like these. It’s just my personal note pad, really, but kinda cool to show how other people’s brains work.
